Floral Event Design for Weddings and Special Occasions
Steph and Rob had an intimate late-morning ceremony in the gazebo of the beautiful wrap around deck of their home. With all the green of the surrounding orchard, Steph wanted to use lots of purples and jewel tones with a pop of deep red. We used huge purple hydrangeas as a base for the arrangements, with callas, stock, roses, lisianthus, salvia and the last of the peonies from the garden for this early July wedding.
The ceremony was followed with an elegant luncheon on the back deck, facing the orchard.
Early in the spring, we potted and maintained ten baskets that would hang all around the perimeter of the deck. We used a variety of plants, mainly petunias and million belles, in the same palette.
